Hope you all have a great 2011 Finals! 2011 TJRA FINALS SCHEDULE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21: Pick up “Finals Packet” and jacket between 12:00 & 2:00 p.m., Secretary table FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21: 3:00 p.m. Important Pre-Finals meeting, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21: 3:30 p.m. Introduction of all Finalist (on foot, no horses) FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21: 4:00 p.m. 1st go of the TJRA 2011 FINALS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22: 10:00 a.m., Introduction of all Finalist SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22: 10:30 a.m., 2nd go of the TJRA 2011 FINALS Group picture BEFORE egg toss……please attend. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22: @9:00 p.m. (following the end of the 2nd performance)– Dance with live DJ and Food. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Church service, Lightning C Arena, McAlester, OK SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23: 10:00 a.m. Meeting, election of 2012 TJRA Directors. All contestants and at least one parent are ENCOURAGED to attend. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23: 10:30 a.m.—AUCTION followed by AWARDS. ORDER OF EVENTS FOR 2011 TJRA FINALS GRAND ENTRY (Starting 30 minutes before performance time, this will include the welcome, prayer, posting of colors, introduction of 2011 directors, introduction of contestants) Mutton Busting Calf Riding Straight Barrels (6 & Under Only) Barrels Poles Ribbon Goats Goat Tying Break-A-Way Roping (7-10 will go 1st) Tie-Down Roping Ribbon Roping Team Roping Steer Wrestling 14 & Under Chute Dogging 15-19 Chute Dogging Jr Bulls Sr Bulls Please plan on attending the pre-finals meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21ST. TIES: There will be a “run off” on ALL ties. Ties in the All-around and Reserve All-around will be “ran off” in the following manner. All events that BOTH contestants participate in will be put in a container and a judge will draw ONE event and the contestants will have a “run off” in that event only. The judge will also draw for run position and stock number if applicable. DRESS CODE: Each contestant will be required to wear their back number at all times whether around town or on the arena grounds. You will be required to be in full dress if you are inside the arena building. This will include the AWARDS CEREMONY also. You will receive your back number upon check in at the finals. AVERAGE MONEY & POINTS: There will be an average (money & points) based on the two performances of the Finals. Please remember this when figuring your final points. We will “pay out” nightly during the finals, including the average. Please see official rule book for average money payout. POINTS: Should you have any questions, please contact the secretary. In regards to the FINALS, in order for the secretary to do her job more efficiently, she will be taking questions in writing ONLY. There will be an “official points concerns box” at the secretary table for you to leave your questions. The secretary will reply to your concerns as soon as possible. This is a very stressful position during the finals and we would appreciate your support in this matter. Any questions/concerns regarding points prior to the finals need to be addressed ASAP. You will need to contact the secretary as soon as possible. You must contact the secretary BEFORE the start of the rodeo on Friday night in regards to any questions/concerns. COMPLAINTS: Please direct all complaints to the director of the event you have concerns about. Any contestant that has a UIL school sponsored activity that conflicts with Friday night’s competition, must contact that EVENT DIRECTOR and have a letter from the school at least one week prior to the finals to have other arrangements Ok’d. REMINDER: You MUST attend each go-round in your respective event(s) (unless otherwise excused) and be present at the awards ceremony in order to be eligible for your prizes. |
